Select staff members of The Catalyst participated in the “Upscaling on Campus Journalism for S.Y. 2025–2026: Gearing Towards Excellence in Campus Journalism” seminar held on September 29–30, 2025, at Reyna’s The Haven and Gardens, Tagbilaran City.
They were accompanied by their adviser Mrs. Marrietta B. Naquila and assistant adviser Mrs. Jogielen I. Malalis, together with fellow campus journalists from various schools across the Division of Bohol.
The seminar was organized by the Bohol Association of School Paper Advisers Inc. (BASPA) and featured resource speakers who shared their knowledge and expertise in different fields of journalism.
“We want to upscale your skills and knowledge about journalism for our next move, for our DSPC or the Division Schools Press Conference,” said Mr. Pablito D. Villalon, Education Program Supervisor in English, as he emphasized the purpose of the seminar.
A second batch of the training is set to take place on October 13–14, 2025, at the same venue.
