CNHS shines at 2025 Division Schools Press Conference

TAGBILARAN CITY — Calape National High School (CNHS) campus journalists secured multiple awards, including championship titles and Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) qualifications, during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025 held in Tagbilaran City.

CNHS emerged champion and RSPC Qualifier in TV Broadcasting – Filipino, winning several special awards such as Best Anchors, Best News Presenter, Best Director, Best Technical Director, and Best Infomercial. The team was composed of Mary Dianne B. Sanchez, Francis AJ R. Remolador, Nissa Mae D. Fernandez, Ma. Cathlyn T. Calamba, Jun Lee Degamo, Haydee Joyce A. Bulac, and Carlo Omosura.

In TV Broadcasting – English, CNHS placed second, represented by Gwen Trixie Rulona, Dionett Dhavesun O. Taculod, Ma. Den Cir D. Taganas, Vince Christian F. Cagande, Mariane Y. Cuaton, Francheska Mae R. Mag-usara, and Daphnie V. Yparraguire.

The school paper also placed third and qualified for the RSPC in the School Paper Contest – English with Athena Marie Cagande, The Catalyst EIC, as lay-out artist. Meanwhile, Jed Nelson I. Malalis ranked 9th in Sports Writing – English.

The participating campus journalists were trained under School Paper Adviser, Marrietta B. Naquila, and Jogielen I. Malalis, School Paper Assistant Adviser, with support from School Principal Leah Vanessa G. Balite and the students’ parents.
