In a grand celebration of dedication and professional brilliance, Calape National High School (CNHS) emerged as the Most Outstanding Secondary School (Very Large School) during the Calape District SALUDO 2025 held on February 3, 2026, at the H Resort – The Coral Cliff, aligned with the theme, “DepEd Calape: Trailblazing Excellence in Service with Purpose, Moving Forward with Commitment,” the event served as a platform to honor the educators and personnel who have gone above and beyond in their mission to serve the Filipino learners.
Furthermore, the school also received special awards: Special Award for Highest Number of Entries in the District SALUDO 2025, Special Award for Highest Number of Winners in the District SALUDO 2025, Top 1 Most Outstanding School in Awards and Recognition, Resource Mobilization Award (Very Large School Category), CI Project Completion.
This institutional success was steered by the visionary leadership of Leah Vanessa G. Balite (Principal IV), who was rightfully named the Most Outstanding Secondary School Principal.
Parallel to these institutional honors, CNHS was lauded as the district’s Most Outstanding Program Implementer in some aspects with the various focal persons: Jesson B. Lungay for the Continuous Improvement and Special Science School System (4S); Jeane Carmel P. Estaca for the Adopt-A-School Program; Rexelle Joy D. Abejo for the DepEd Computerization Program; Ma. Erlindes M. Fortugaliza for the Functional Library; Mae Shine M. Salinas for the WASH in Schools (WINS) program; Joeven Irish A. Yabo for both the Guidance and Mental Health Programs; and Vilma P. Narisma for the Learning Action Cell (LAC).
Meanwhile, CNHS teachers and non-teaching personnel are recognized with the following awards and recognitions:
SERVICE LOYALTY AWARDEES: Aurelio S. Bacolod and Ma. Erlindes M. Fortugaliza for 30 years; Leah Vanessa G. Balite for 20 years; and Lucia B. Asur, Richelle A. Cuas, Junnalyn C. Minoza, Jeremae T. Pulmano, and Mitchel S. Remperas for 10 years in service.
The following personnel were recognized as the MOST OUTSTANDING in their respective categories: Leah Vanessa G. Balite was named Most Outstanding Secondary School Principal, while Leon L. Josol received the Most Outstanding Master Teacher award for Key Stage 3. For the Junior High School level, the Most Outstanding Teacher awards were given to Ariel P. Dalogdog (Mathematics), Mae Shine M. Salinas (Science), Ledi Anne S. Templa (AP), Jheulia Vhea Shaine L. Duterte (MAPEH), and Jesson B. Lungay (Science Research). At the Senior High School level, the honorees were Angie G. Vilbar (Most Outstanding – TVL Track), Jesson B. Lungay (Most Outstanding – Academic Track), Marrietta B. Naquila (Outstanding – English), and Silvana A. Cagasan (Outstanding – Filipino). Additionally, Weny A. Bayog was recognized as the Most Outstanding Non-Teaching Personnel (Level 2).
Several faculty members received Exemplary Performance and Special Awards for their outstanding contributions to learning development and competitive coaching. Jesson B. Lungay was recognized as a Regional Resource Speaker and a winning coach in Mural Painting and STEMazing Research, while Marrietta B. Naquila and Jogielen I. Malalis earned top honors for directing TV Broadcasting at the NSPC. In sports, championship-winning coaches included Ariel P. Dalogdog (Dancesport), Angel Anne C. San Luis (Pencak Silat), and Melanie C. Sarigumba and Leona Jean M. Origenes (Wrestling).
Other awardees recognized for their coaching success in provincial and national meets were Silvana A. Cagasan (Chess), Angie G. Vilbar (Pencak Silat), Daisybel L. Tura (Athletics), Maricel M. Azul (Arnis), and the coaching duo of John Marvin Y. Sta. Ana and Neil O. Buladaco (Wushu). Additionally, Vilma P. Narisma and Niño Benjo Lorenzo R. Garcia were cited for their respective achievements in Math challenges and wellness competitions, alongside their roles as regional trainers and coordinators.
In the School Heads category, Principal Leah Vanessa G. Balite received the Exemplary Performance Award in Learning and Development as a National Trainer for the Dynamic Learning Program. She was further recognized for the Pilot Implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum and cited for her extensive service as the District PRAISE Focal Person and coordinator for multiple programs, including TLE/TVL, CI, SNED, and Wellness.
Additional special awards were conferred upon Leon L. Josol and Analie D. Boja as Alternate District Coordinators for Araling Panlipunan and Mathematics, respectively. Marivic P. Orillosa was honored with the Program Support Services Award, while Vilma P. Narisma was recognized for her leadership as a member of the CDTEA Board of Directors.
